I originally wrote the singles list in December 2004, but I didn’t list the albums so I did this in December 2009.
Much better year for music than 2003. I saw Franz Ferdinand live at the Astoria while touring the first album, and that was a good night out indeed as they were supported by Fiery Furnaces and Sons and Daughters who both went on to release some great stuff. I also saw the Dead 60s live a couple of times before their split at the start of 2008. On occasion it was in a half-empty new bands tent at the V Festival in Chelmsford – you’ve never heard a sound system so good as that one that day at a festival anywhere.
I may well have put the following in my top 10 today, although I know with the existing songs there might not have been enough room for them all:
